"I see OneFamily as playing an essential role in filling that gap, to be the trusted provider that supports those who are underserved elsewhere."
- Jim Islam, CEO of OneFamily

Prior to these promotions, Ryan Griffin worked as Director of Product & Pricing at Beagle Street while Beth Tait had been managing the recently acquired insurance firm’s marketing team. Ryan will now join OneFamily’s Executive Team as Protection Director and Beth has been appointed as Marketing Director.

Jim Islam, CEO of OneFamily, has said these roles will be “instrumental in our growth strategy and I am looking forward to working with both of them.” He believes that everyone should have access to affordable life cover since it’s a “basic financial need for anyone encountering a major life event such as the birth of their first child or getting a foot on the housing ladder.”

“Our goal is to build the scale in life insurance that we’ve successfully achieved in children’s savings to help to protect even more people against life’s big challenges,” he concluded.

OneFamily announced the acquisition of Beagle Street, part of BGL Insurance, in October 2022. At the time, Teddy Nyahasha, explained that Beagle Street’s commitment to “doing the right thing and delivering great service to people at a time when they need it most” was what sparked the acquisition.

“We’re a socially responsible company so, as part of our vision of Inspiring Better Futures, OneFamily wants to be able to reach more families and give them the peace of mind that they deserve, […] and I’m excited to say that Beagle Street will help us to do that,” he explained.

Since the acquisition, OneFamily has become the insurer for all new Beagle Street, Budget, and Virgin Money term life insurance and critical illness policies, and has recently announced its latest partnership with iPipeline for a new online customer portal.
